COMMUTERS ENCOURAGED TO SPEAK OUT FOR MASS TRANSIT IMPROVEMENTS

This week the NYS Laborers participated in the press conference announcing a month long ad campaign to encourage commuters to speak-out for mass transit improvements. The campaign was funded by Campaign for New York’s Future (CNFY) and the Empire State Transportation Alliance (ESTA). The Laborers are part of the ESTA coalition that seeks to build expanded resources for New York State Transportation.

The press conference held at Grand Central discussed the print and television ads that direct commuters to visit www.bettertransit.org to learn more about mass transit improvements and the congestion pricing plan. Jim Melius participated in the event and stressed the need for us to continue to invest in our transit system to maintain the quality of life in our region.
